Request for CCNE Third-Party Comments
The University of Houston Downtown, RN to BSN program will host the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) on November 18th-20th, 2024 for an accreditation review of our Baccalaureate program. In accordance with CCNE accreditation procedures, we extend the opportunity to our communities of interest, i.e. faculty, students, alumni, clinical partners, consumers and community at large to submit written comments regarding our academic programs.
As required by CCNE procedures, third-party comments will be received by CCNE until 21 days before the scheduled on-site evaluation (September 16, 2019).

This program is designed to be a degree completion degree for students that have already
received an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AASN) degree along with their
RN license.

Admission Requirements
- Submit an application via www.applytexas.org
- Pay non-refundable $50 application fee
- Submit official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended
- Submit an official transcript of an associate degree in nursing (ADN)
- Provide evidence of a valid, unencumbered Texas Registered Nurse or a multi-state compact license
- Submit proof of current CPR/AED certification
- Other admissions requirements, 2.0 GPA, C or better in Nursing courses
