Melissa Abram-Jackson

I currently serve UHD as the Manager of Organizational Development and Training. I was previously employed at the University of Northern Iowa, Houston Baptist University and most recently at the University of Houston. My primary focus in higher education has been within Student Affairs with experience in admissions, residence life and housing as well as student conduct.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Northern Iowa and my M.Ed. in Counseling from Texas Southern University.

I aim to promote and support all employees on the journey to fulfilling our University’s mission. My passion is assisting employees increase effectiveness and efficiency while tapping into their unlimited potential. Some of my training focus areas are Management and Leadership Development, Customer Service, Effective Communication Skills, Team Development as well as Coaching and Mentoring.
