Oversight of The Employee Performance

Performance Managment

Oversight of the employee performance management process is also an essential function of Employment Services and Operations. Employee performance management includes:

  • Planning work, establishing and communicating employee expectations
  • Continually monitoring performance
  • Developing employees’ capacity to perform (through coaching, mentoring, training, etc.)
  • Formally assessing employees’ performance annually
  • Rewarding exceptional performance (as funds permit)

The performance appraisal system at UHD is a dynamic and powerful tool that automates, simplifies, and streamlines the entire employee performance evaluation process. The fully web-based and interactive software allows employees and managers to record pertinent notes, year-round, for reference during the evaluation process through the Journal Notes feature. The Learning feature allows managers to assign online training by linking with SkillPort. This feature allows training assignment, tracking, and completion, all within the eAppraisal environment.
