ETS Proficiency Profile

The ETS Proficiency Profile is administered every three years to a random sample of first-year and senior undergraduate students. It was most recently administered to seniors in spring 2010 and to first-year students in Spring 2011.

 

In spring 2010, the university invited 2118 senior students to take the test through letters and email invitations. A total of 154 students took the test, for a response rate of 7.27%.

 

In spring 2011, the university invited 377 first-year transfer students to take the test through letters and email invitations. A total of 45 students took the test, for a response rate of 11.94%.

National Survey of Student Engagement

The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) is administered every three years to a random sample of first-year and senior undergraduate students.  It was most recently administered in spring 2011. 


In spring 2011, the university invited 6,922 students (1,953 freshman-level students and 4,969 senior-level students) to participate in the survey through email invitations.


At the conclusion of the survey administration, 1,288 UHD students participated in the survey (255 freshman-level students and 1,033 senior-level students).


The overall response rate for UHD was 19%, with a senior-level response rate of 21% and a freshmen-level response rate of 13%.

Future Plans of Spring 2012 Graduates

UHD asks students about their future plans when they apply for graduation.  In spring 2012, UHD awarded undergraduate degrees to 949 students and 91 percent (866) responded to the survey.
