About the Director

Dr. Carolyn Ashe is professor and former Assistant Department Chair in the Management, Marketing and Business Administration Department and the Director of the Institute for Business, Ethics, and Public Issues in the College of Business. She coauthored a textbook, authored refereed journal articles, and contributed to other scholarly and creative work. Her research interests and presentations include business ethics, ethical and business communication, management and organizational behavior, telecommunications, and distance learning. Dr. Ashe has received multiple awards and recognitions including the 2010 University Faculty Development Grant, the 2006 Teaching Excellence Award, 2008 Professional/Institutional Service Award Finalist, 2003 Online Teacher of the Year, and was a 2007 Minnie Stevens Piper Award nominee. In March of 2010, she was one of 27 international scholars invited to participate in the Oxford Round Table at Oxford University in England. This international session focused on "Ethical Sentiments and the World Financial Crisis" and was an invitation-only round table.
