UHD Study Abroad Trip to Costa Rica

May 31 - June 28, 2014

During this Study Abroad program, students have the opportunity to study Spanish immersed in the language and culture of Costa Rica! All classes begin and end in Costa Rica. The program lasts approximately 4 weeks and the cost includes lodging with a Costa Rican family in Heredia, 3 meals a day, tuition and books for up to six credits in Spanish (transfer credits through Sol Education Abroad), all cultural activities and three major excursions (Poás Volcano, Manuel Antonio Nature Reserve and Arenal Volcano with La Fortuna waterfall and white-water rafting). Airfare (of about $640.00) is not included in the program price. For more details about the trip, please see our program website at http://www.soleducation.com/uhd. This is a wonderful way to fulfill the foreign language requirement, or to make progress towards completing a Spanish major or minor! These Spanish credits will also help complete other UHD degrees like Interdisciplinary Studies or Humanities. There is no better way to develop fluency in a language than by living in the language.

Student participation contract coming soon.
