The CHSS Summer Abroad Program provides exciting learning opportunities by combining UHD courses with travel and study abroad in Cádiz, Spain. In collaboration with the University of Cadiz and Mundolengua, UHD has designed a summer program that fits our curriculum requirements. MundoLengua acts as overall coordinator for the program, working with both the home-university and the University of Cadiz in a role that encompasses ensuring rigorous academic standards for the courses, organizing cultural/social activities, finding quality homestays, and providing 24-hour emergency support for students.
three six credit courses are available in this program, so that students
can select the course(s) best suited to their interests and needs. You
must take both courses.
SPAN 2301- SPAN 2302 (Two three-credit courses)

Higher Level Spanish:
SPAN 4390: 20th Century Spanish Culture through Literature, Film and Public Life (6 credits)
Classes are Monday-Thursday 9:30-2:00pm.
*10% of grade in all levels will come from a cultural notebook that has a section in Madrid, where we will be the first week of the trip (see itinerary for more information).
