Erlanger Turner, Ph.D. recently joined the UHD faculty. After graduating with his doctoral degree from Texas A&M University, he completed a two-year clinical post-doctoral fellowship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute through the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Prior to joining UHD, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Turner teaches courses on Clinical Psychology, Child Psychopathology, and Multicultural Psychology.
Dr. Turner is a clinical psychologist whose current research interests focus on health equity, ethnic minority mental health, access to behavioral health services for youth, and cultural competency in clinical practice. Additionally, his research involves measurement development and psychometric evaluation of psychological instruments.
