Organization Description
The mission of the Alzheimer's Association is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
Description of Internship
The Chapter operates a HELPline at its office weekdays from 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
Answer calls from caregivers, individuals with Alzheimer’s, and others
Provide information and referrals
Training required
Criteria for Interns
Volunteers must have excellent verbal communication skills
Minimum of 4 hours a week required
