Major: English
Minor: Creative Writing

My primary interests are creative writing and early American literature predating the Civil War. I also enjoy reading Postmodern and Postcolonial literature, studying American History, Art History, and Literary Theory, and yes, reading fantasy and science fiction as well. My goal, which I will achieve, is to become a famous writer. However, if that doesn’t work out, I am more than satisfied with becoming an English professor. If that doesn’t work, I will teach high school in either history or English.

Major: History

I am a history major who has had five other majors in my college career. I have settled on History with an English minor and look forward to teaching high school and eventually become a professor. I enjoy reading book series and my favorite series are The Hunger Games and Harry Potter.

Lead Writing Associate
Major: English
Minor: Philosophy
Writing Associate for Dr. Dagmar Scharold

"My career aspirations include publishing a collection of poetry, publishing fictional novels (one of which I am working on right now), and teaching at the university level in Ancient World Literature and Creative Writing. I enjoy going to the Fine Arts Museum and embracing my book-worm side by hanging out in the Books - A - Million book store and checking out the new book releases as well as researching in fields such as Psychology, History, and the Sciences. I enjoy meeting people from diverse backgrounds and learning about new cultures. I used to be an ESL student, so I particularly relate to those who speak English as a second language. I love teaching and helping people to better understand subjects; I love learning and want to inspire others to love it too! (I know, if you look up geek, you'll see my picture)".
