Detective Brian Sallee

As an expert, Detective Brian Sallee was recently interviewed on National Public Radio and quoted in the New Yorker Magazine. He is the co-author of The Handbook of Methamphetamine: What you Need to Know and co-author of Narcotics Investigations: Working and Surviving.

Thousands of police officers and social service workers from all 50 states and several countries have learned from his presentations. Detective Sallee has taught in over 47 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. He is a guest instructor at several universities.

Detective Sallee serves as President of BBS Narcotics Enforcement Training & Consulting, LLC. which provides training and consultation for law enforcement, family services and expert witnesses in civil and criminal cases. Clients include: the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Multijurisdictional Counterdrug Task Force Training (MCTFT), Associates in Advance Narcotics Training (AIANT), and the Albuquerque Police Department among others.

His 32 years career began as a uniformed patrol officer and includes 21 years in Narcotic Units, completing all aspects of narcotics investigations. He is a certified lab investigator and site safety officer. Detective Sallee also works as a sworn detective assigned to the Meth Unit in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Police Science and a Masters in Criminal Justice.
