Master of Science in Criminal Justice

The UHD Department of Criminal Justice offers a Master of Science (MS) degree with a major in Criminal Justice. The master's degree program will prepare program graduates to provide leadership, critical thinking, and knowledge in the areas of:

  • Criminological theory
  • Program evaluation
  • Criminal Justice administration

The UHD Master of Science in Criminal Justice program's curriculum provides for the development of skills in criminal justice planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure that the management and administration of the criminal justice system is effective, efficient, and responsive to the needs of the community.

Online Master of Science in Criminal Justice

For those individuals who are unable to attend traditional classes, the UHD Department of Criminal Justice offers a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Degree Online program. Designed to provide flexibility, this program will:

  • Prepare students to become future leaders in the criminal justice system
  • Integrate the theoretical and practical aspects of crime control as they relate to the adult and juvenile justice systems

Both the Master of Science in Criminal Justice and the Online Master of Science in Criminal Justice program will prepare students for careers in policing, courts, corrections, and a variety of other agencies related to the field.
