WANTED: RESEARCH ASSISTANTS
Through the Center for Computational Science and Advanced Distributed Simulation (CCSDS), students at the University of Houston-Downtown have the opportunity to obtain experience in Advanced Distributed Simulations (ADS) research. ADS research involves 3-D modeling, behavior representation, advanced visualization, and communications. These research opportunities are available to a few outstanding sophomores, juniors and seniors majoring in Computer Science who are seeking experience and adventure in research. No prior experience is necessary. A few of the many benefits that students will receive are:
- 20 hours/week studying in a high-technology research environment
- Ability to earn $140 a week
- Hands-on-experience with state-of-the-art Silicon Graphics and Pentium Pro computers
- Excellent training for high paying software engineering and communications jobs and graduate school
Requirements to become a Research Assistant are:
Completion of CS 1301
A minimum GPA of 3.25 in CS and Math courses
Two letters of recommendation from faculty
One-page, typed essay about your interests and career goals
