Summary: As part of the Computing Alliance for HSIs, UHD contributes to an effort to identify and promote innovative and effective practices aimed at increasing the number of Hispanic students that pursue and complete advanced degrees in Computing and Information Sciences and Engineering (CISE) areas and assume leadership roles in computing.

Title: Alliance for Enhanced Computing Education Bridges (AECEB)

Summary: To explore the potential for an alliance of the Center for Computational Science and Advanced Distributed Simulation at the University of Houston-Downtown, the San Diego Supercomputing Center, and the West Houston Center for Science and Engineering of the Houston Community College System to significantly impact the number of Hispanic students earning post secondary degrees in computing.
