MR. EDWARD SHEINBERG

Prof. Sheinberg is a full time faculty member and has been teaching engineering and engineering technology courses at UHD for the past 30 years. His seven years of industrial experience consisted of solving field problems. He has written test procedures for rocket testing at the Johnson Spacecraft Center (JSC), performed on site investigation and prepared designs, cost estimates, bill of materials, specifications, and conducted surveys used for construction bid packages. In addition: he has performed stress analysis and strength checking of detail structures used in flight for the “Earth Works” mapping program of NASA at JSC; he has written procedures, directed design and drafting personal, coordinated with the engineering department and the customer, and interacted with U.S. government agencies during his industrial tenure; he was a liaison engineer between JSC and North American Rockwell of the Command Module of Apollo 11 during its checkout phase at Downey California: and as a research engineering, he re-evaluated the portable life support system (PLISS) of the astronauts space suit prior to Apollo 11.
