This Bachelor of Science program provides both a broad-based curriculum in the liberal arts and in the Natural Sciences and a set of courses specifically in biology with a microbiological focus. This concentration requires virology, immunology, medical microbiology and additional courses that cover a broad collection of topics in microbiology. This degree is designed to meet the needs of those interested in graduate work in microbiology or public health, careers in medical, dental or other health professions, or for companies needing microbiological expertise. Students are encouraged to participate in an appropriate field experience or research activity as part of their curriculum.
