On The Spot Admissions

 

On The Spot Admissions will take place during UHD Campus Open House on Saturday, March 29, 2014. If you want to take advantage of this expedited admissions opportunity, submit your online application for admission at www.applytexas.org by March 25, 2014. When you arrive at Open House, bring the additional documents listed below to complete your application. We will review your application during the day and issue a status or decision letter by the end of the program.


Paper applications will be available the day of, however submitting an application via www.applytexas.org will expedite reviewing your documents.

 

Freshman Students are applicants who are, or soon will be, high school graduates, GED recipients, or home school graduates. Freshman applicants have fewer than 15 college-level credit hours earned.

Freshman students must submit the following documents as part of their application for admission:

  • Submit online application by March 25, 2014, 5:00 p.m.
  • Official High School transcripts (sealed and from issuing institution) OR original or copy of GED certificate. UHD complies with House Bill 3826.
  • Submit official SAT or ACT scores.
  • Submit non-refundable $35 application fee

Freshman-Transfer Students are applicants who have less than 15 college credit hours, follow the Freshman Application procedures, and submit official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended.

Freshman-Transfer students must submit the following documents as part of their application for admission:

  • Submit online application by March 25, 2014, 5:00 p.m.
  • Official High School transcripts (sealed and from issuing institution) OR original or copy of GED certificate. UHD complies with House Bill 3826.
  • Submit official SAT or ACT scores.
  • Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended (sealed and from issuing institution).
  • Submit non-refundable $35 application fee

Transfer Students are applicants who have more than 15 college-level credits from a regionally accredited school, you may qualify for transfer undergraduate admission to UHD.

Transfer students must submit the following documents as part of their application for admission:

  • Submit online application by March 25, 2014, 5:00 p.m.
  • Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended (sealed and from issuing institution).
  • Submit proof of Texas Success Initiative (TSI). Exemptions may apply.
  • Submit non-refundable $35 application fee

 

Official Transcripts


UHD prefers the use of EDI/SPEEDE transcript submission. However, if this option is not available, official paper transcripts are acceptable as long as they are unopened and bearing the seal of the sending institution.

 

If sending your official transcripts by a 3rd party service such as eSCRIP-SAFE, JST, National Student Clearinghouse, Parchment/DocuFide, ADDS/AVOW, etc. please use the UHDETranscripts@uhd.edu email address. PLEASE NOTE: PDF transcripts must be sent directly from the issuing company and directly to the UHDETranscripts@uhd.edu email address to be considered official.
