The mission of the University of Houston-Downtown Police Department is to provide a safe and secure environment for all UHD students, faculty, staff and visitors. We are committed to preserving the peace, preventing and detecting crime, enforcing the law and protecting the rights of all citizens.
The University of Houston-Downtown Police Department fulfills its mission by following these six core values:
Integrity: Built upon a foundation of ethical and professional conduct, the UHD Police Department is committed to the highest level of moral principles and ethics. All members of the Department will adhere to the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics.
