Applying for financial aid is a process which must be completed each year. Renewal of Federal and State financial aid is based upon satisfactory academic progress, financial need and the availability of funds.

Tips for a successful application

Apply Early: Apply as early as possible! The priority date for submitting all documents required for financial aid awards is April 1st.

 

Be Thorough: Complete all income and asset information. Do not leave any questions blank. If the answer is zero, enter zero in the field. Be sure the appropriate individuals (student and/or parent) have signed the FAFSA. Missing signatures will delay processing.

 

Be Accurate: Verify your answers and check for accuracy. Errors will delay the process and may initiate request for more documentation.
