Job Summary

The Supervisor, IT Asset Management accounts for and manages IT equipment lifecycles, from delivery to the removal and disposal of IT equipment.

Duties

  • Manages and maintains the IT asset management database, including tagging equipment and performing any necessary data entry.
  • Manages surplus equipment as per university policies and procedures.
  • Collates all necessary documentation for Accounts Payable.
  • Works with Purchasing to address discrepancies in issued PO's; changes orders as necessary.
  • Collaborates with the Property Manager to conduct the annual inventory.
  • Oversees the equipment salvage and donation process.
  • Tags all new equipment for the university.
  • Oversees all RMAs for warranty repairs and replacement of equipment.
  • Creates and generates any necessary reports regarding IT equipment inventory.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Associate degree or 60 college coursework hours

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of related job experience

License/Certification:

  • Must maintain a valid, current driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • CPPS and/or CPPA certification is preferred.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of state and university policies as they pertain to IT equipment values and rules for disposal
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
  • Knowledge of commonly used types of IT equipment.

  • Ability to reconcile receiving reports with equipment received

Work Location and Physical Demands

Primary Work Location:

  • Works in an office environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Work is performed in a typical, comfortable interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements Individual has discretion in relation to walking, standing etc., and has minimal exposure to physical risks. Work involves bending, lifting, and moving packages/equipment. May be required to gain forklift certification.
