The W.I. Dykes Library keeps 2-3 copies of each thesis submitted to graduate programs at the University of Houston-Downtown. One copy is kept in a non-circulating collection for long-term preservation. Other copies are added to the Theses Collection and made available to check out. A description of each thesis is added to WorldCat to support interlibrary lending of UHD theses.
Students must submit 2-3 original unbound copies on white 8-1/2 x 11 paper.
Use at least 20 pound paper. Look for "Acid Free," "Archival Quality," or "Thesis Paper" on the label.
Print all text with a 1.25-inch left margin. Each copy should include an authorizing signatures page with original signatures.
Unbound theses may be brought to the Technical Services office in Room 517-North or mailed to:

Students may register copyright for their thesis by applying directly to the U.S. Copyright Office:
For personal copies, students should work directly with a binder.
