The Office of Admissions has announced that the application process for the Winter 2011 term is now open to new UHD students (excluding International students). The admission deadline is Thursday, December 15, 2011.
New Students wishing to attend Winter 2011 term must submit the following:
Former UHD students who are eligible for registration can log into MyUHD to reactivate their account. Once complete, their record will automatically be updated for the Winter 2011 term.
Continuing UHD students who are eligible for registration can log into MyUHD to register for the Winter 2011 term.

Winter 2011 Priority Web Registration for declared majors-only begins at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011.
Regular Web Registration for all other students begins on Monday, November 14, 2011.
Registration ends at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2011 and payment or payment arrangements must be made by 6pm on that day to prevent classes from being dropped for non-payment.
Important Note: There is no "Late Registration" for Winter 2011.
All registration schedule changes that involve course adds must be done by 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2011. Only course drops will be allowed after this time through the last day to drop/withdraw.
Course Drop and Withdrawal
In order to drop a Winter 2011 class so that no grade is assigned, the course drop must be done online by Tuesday, December 20, 2011.
A Winter 2011 course withdrawal which results in a grade of "W" can be processed online beginning December 21, 2011 through December 29, 2011.
Registration assistance is available in-person, by phone, via email and through AskGator. Registrar's Office representatives are available during regular business hours through December 22, 2011 and once again when the University re-opens after the Winter Holiday break on January 2, 2012. Other Important Dates
Winter 2011 final grades will be posted online via Student e-Services at 12:00 p.m., on January 12, 2012.

Payment in full or payment arrangements must be made by Monday, December 19, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. or your class(es) will be dropped.
Please be aware that there is no financial aid posted to the Winter Term. Any financial aid granted for classes taken in the Winter term will be processed and paid with your Spring 2012 financial aid. These funds WILL NOT be automatically moved to pay the Winter balance. It is the student's responsibility to make payment out of pocket or once their Spring refund is received. If you are depending on financial aid to pay for these classes, you may go online and request an Emergency Loan to make payment until you receive your financial aid.
Installment plans and Emergency Loans will be available Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. online at http://myUHD.uhd.edu under the My Payment option.
Emergency Book Loans ($150 max) will also be available Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. at the Student Accounting Office, 320 South.

Scholarships and Financial Aid Information
Q. Can I apply for financial aid for the winter term?
Answer: No, financial aid is not available for the winter mini-session. You may, however, apply for an emergency loan and book loan to cover the cost of tuition and fees and the purchase of books.

Q. Will I be responsible for the emergency loan and book loan if I am not eligible for financial aid in the spring?
Answer: Yes, you will be responsible for the amount owed if you are no longer eligible to receive financial aid for Spring 2012.
Q. What may cause me to be ineligible to receive my spring financial aid?
Answer: Some reasons for losing financial aid eligibility for Spring 2012 include but are not limited to:
- Not meeting the terms of satisfactory academic progress at the end of the Fall 2011 semester if you were on financial aid probation.
- New information received from the Department of Education now showing you ineligible to receive aid.
Q. Will financial aid for spring cover the emergency loan and book loan for the winter term?
Answer: Financial aid for Spring 2012 may cover the emergency loan and book loan for the winter mini-session given that you
- complete the course attempted for the winter-session
- remain eligible to receive financial aid for spring
- have enough financial aid available to cover both the winter mini-session and spring charges
Remember – you will have to make the payment for these Winter loans yourself once your spring refund is received.
Q. How will the hours for the winter term be counted for financial aid?
Answer: The hours completed for the winter mini-session will be added to spring registration. If your financial aid for spring was processed based on less than full-time enrollment and you attend the winter mini-session you may be eligible for additional aid. You will need to complete a Revision Request Form so financial aid can determine if you should receive more funds based on the additional 3 hours completed during the winter mini-session. If you were processed based on full-time enrollment and attend the winter mini-session, there will be no additional aid eligibility.
