Project Leadership Information

Project Leadership UHD is a participatory program sponsored by the Office of Student Activities & Events in which students are challenged to develop their strengths and skills as collaborative leaders in a student-friendly environment.

General Information

This year-round program features a curriculum of workshops and seminars conducted by professional speakers from across the country as well as our very own UHD faculty and staff. The program covers a wide range of leadership topics ranging from teambuilding and leadership styles to communication skills and networking. All workshops and seminars are held on campus Tuesday-Thursday and last approximately 60 to 90 minutes depending upon the topic.

Certification Levels

Project Leadership UHD is broken up into three certification levels (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced). We understand that UHD students lead very busy lives and we have designed the program to allow students to complete the certification levels at their own pace. Students have the freedom to choose when they would like to attend particular core and elective workshops within each certification level.

Community Service and Student Organization Involvement

A commitment to community service also serves as an integral part of the program. Participation in at least one registered student organization and/or participation in at least community service type project is also required.

Individual Student Recognition

All students who complete the core curriculum for each certification level will be awarded Project Leadership UHD certification at a recognition ceremony to be held at the end of the spring semester.

Project Leadership is open to anyone! Complete the application and return it to S-204 to participate in the program. (This document is in the pdf format. To Obtain a free download of Acrobat Adobe Reader, plea se Visit our Technical Information Page)
