| This is Coach Garner’s first year as the Head Coach of the UHD baseball club team. Coach Garner has over 7 years of coaching experience and has played organized baseball on every level short of professional. He is a graduate of the University of Houston-Downtown with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and is excited about returning to coach the baseball team. He is currently an assistant varsity baseball coach at Fort Bend Elkins High School and prior to that served as the Willowridge High School head baseball coach for 6 years. Coach Garner is also the head baseball coach of the Saint’s Baseball 18 under Select team. He is a full-time English teacher at Willowridge High School and enjoys watching, studying, teaching and coaching baseball on all levels. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his wife traveling and/or watching baseball. He has a 23 year old daughter, a 13 year old son, a 19 year old stepson (currently playing baseball at Prairie View A&M University) and a 27 year old stepson.
