The 2002 GED® Testing Series will be replaced beginning January 2, 2014. Incomplete or insufficient GED® scores from 2002 Series will no longer be valid after December 31, 2013.
Beginning January 2, 2014 the new computer-based version of GED will have 4 modules (instead of 5) with each module requiring a passing score of 150 (new scale) and a total score of 600 across the four-module battery in order to receive the GED® test credential.
Effective, February 1, 2014, The Office of Testing Services at University of Houston-Downtown will offer the GED computer- based test by Pearson Vue.

The cost for the 2014 GED test series is $33.75 per test, $135.00 total.
