UHD Testing Services offers a wide variety of testing programs to UHD and the Houston community. With a 24-station electronic testing room located on UHD's second floor suite S280, we can offer a more flexible schedule for the UHD Placement Test, THEA Quick Test, GED and CLEP. Testing Services is responsible for THEA and placement testing for incoming students as well as offering a number of national exams and certification exams.
Registration deadlines are about one month prior to test dates. Registration information and forms for most tests are contained in test bulletins available in Testing Services.
The ACCUPLACER/WritePlacer exam, one of the approved Texas Success Initiative (TSI) assessments recommended to new college freshmen, is offered by Testing Services to UHD students only. A list of acceptable CLEP exams can be found on the catalog under credit by examination.
