Job Summary

The Director, Testing Services oversees all operations pertaining to testing services at the university, including planning, developing policies and procedures for test administration, scoring, reporting, and security for academic and surrounding community testing and certification needs.

Duties

  • Supervises all phases of state, national, and professional certification, and the university academic test programs
  • Ensures compliance with institutional and state testing rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Works closely with testing partners to create and implement academic testing calendars, procedures, and security controls
  • Plans and reviews daily operational protocols and processes with the department team to improve efficiencies, ensure test integrity, and enhance customer service
  • Hires all staff, including part-time, seasonal, and student workers, for various testing activities

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of related job experience

License/Certification:

  • None required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification by testing programs or companies is preferred

Work Location and Physical Demands

  • Monitors staff interactions with customers for professional conduct, consistent application of university policies and procedures, and follow up of outstanding requests.

  • Prudently responds to unforeseen problems through careful consideration and analysis of problem and relevant information and circumstances.
