Job Summary

The Program Director leads and provides direction for a program, ensuring the efficacy and effectiveness of the program in supporting student success as they transition to and through college.

Duties

  • Directs and strategically develops relevant projects; evaluates progress and performance and makes recommendations for improvement
  • Coordinates all state-wide trainings
  • Attends and participates in meetings; provides oversight and guidance to committees
  • Manages grants, ensuring compliance with all grant regulations
  • Develops and manages annual budgets
  • Leads the planning, creation, and implementation of new solutions for student success

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Communication, Business, Psychology, Social Services, or a related field

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of related job experience

License/Certification:

  • None required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree is preferred

  • Knowledge of the management of a program in a higher education environment, and of the related trends, issues, and accepted practices;
  • Knowledge of the function and operations of the specific program

Work Location and Physical Demands

Primary Work Location:

  • Works in an office environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Work is performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements; individual has discretion in relation to walking, standing etc., and has minimal exposure to physical risks
  • Must have precise hand-eye coordination and the ability to identify and distinguish colors
