Job Summary

The Program Manager manages the operations and office administrative projects of a university program.

Duties

  • Develops and manages administrative projects and comprehensive program activities, orientations, workshops, and events
  • Performs outreach to local professionals and organizations to build partnerships that will assist students
  • Monitors student involvement in career readiness opportunities
  • Provides academic and student support resources as required
  • Collaborates with faculty, staff, and student support offices across campus to increase the accessibility of resources available to students
  • Leads extracurricular program-related events to promote a sense of belonging for students
  • Attends meetings; serves on and advises committees and councils as appropriate
  • Interprets and clarifies academic policies and procedures to students, faculty, staff, and parents
  • Provides high level support for the program leadership

  • May regularly assigns work to subordinate(s)

Required Education:

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the management of a program in a higher education environment, and of the related trends, issues, and accepted practices;
  • Knowledge of the function and operations of the specific program

Skills:

  • Good technical skills, including proficiency in MS Office;

Work Location and Physical Demands

Primary Work Location:

  • Works in an office environment.
