Job Summary

The Video Production Specialist III provides audio, video, and web production support and training to faculty and staff.

Duties

  • Produces and edits audio, video, and web content
  • Provides in-person and online training for faculty and staff
  • Monitors and records local and distance education classes
  • Sets up and operates digital lecture captures sessions, assisting faculty as required with lecture capture needs
  • Provides training and troubleshoots for streaming, Zoom meetings and webinars for faculty and staff

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of related job experience

License/Certification:

  • A valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in lighting and virtual studio setup is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of audio/video production and lecture capture techniques from set up to post-production completion;
  • Knowledge of lighting and virtual studio setup, and the related trends, issues, and accepted practices;
  • Knowledge of production and content acquisition in a studio environment;
  • Knowledge of "live" video streaming and video for web distribution; familiarity with video editing software

Work Location and Physical Demands

Primary Work Location:

  • Works in an office environment

Physical Demands:

  • Work is performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements;
  • Individual has discretion in relation to walking, standing etc., and has minimal exposure to physical risks
  • May, on rare occasions, be exposed to elements such as adverse weather conditions, extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, and airborne particles
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination, good spatial awareness, and the ability to identify and distinguish colors
  • Must have the ability to move items of up to 100lbs
  • May be asked to respond to problems or provide service after hours
  • May be expected to carry and respond to cell phone at all times
  • May driver the university vehicle
