QEP 1: Better Through Belonging
This topic aims to enhance students' sense of belonging in their academic fields through focused curriculum development. Strategies include enhancing first-year seminars, expanding field experience courses, and implementing collaborative interventions. Aligned with UHD's mission, this plan spans five years to enrich the student experience and promote a dynamic learning environment.
This topic seeks to foster a culture of passionate reading through various engaging programs, each led by dedicated faculty sponsors. These programs include Book Club Underground, Read To Lead, Newsroom, Quackshack, Watson, Connections, and Readability. By promoting a theme of reading one great book a month, we aim to inspire students to explore diverse topics and develop critical reading skills.
QEP 3: Transferrable Skills for The 21st Century
This topic focuses on equipping students with essential transferable skills needed for success in impactful careers. By integrating career readiness components into degree programs, students will gain proficiency in professional skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and time management. The program emphasizes the application of academic learning to real-world settings, accelerating talent development and enhancing career prospects.
