Spring 2024 76th Commencement Ceremony

Post Commencement Wrap-Up

The scene at UHD's 76th commencement ceremony on May 10 was joyful, as the cavernous NRG Stadium filled with not just Gator graduates and their loved ones, but also the myriad emotions that came with occasion: relief, excitement, gratitude, and pride.

The ceremony was preceded by a performance from Mariachi Emperadores de Mexico, as well as a rendition of the National Anthem by Raul Medina and the UHD Concert Chorale (directed by Orlando Williams, Lecturer in Music and Director of UHD Choral Activities).

Roughly 1,600 students gathered to receive their diplomas and to hear from two magnetic speakers: Ardrienne Bradberry, this year's student speaker, and Dr. Eduardo M. Ochoa, guest speaker and the former Assistant Secretary for Postsecondary Education for the United States of America.

See below for a few snapshots of the wonderful celebration of UHD and our dedicated students!
