Are you someone who enjoys helping others? Do you enjoy beer and tacos? How about free beer and tacos? If you answered yes, yes, and duh to those questions, then the 11th Annual Art Car IPA 5K is the event for you, as UHD and Saint Arnold Brewing Company are again joining forces on 8:30 a.m., Sunday, April 6, for the annual Art Car IPA 5K, an event that celebrates Houston’s Art Car tradition and Saint Arnold’s beer.
Race volunteers are needed for various dates and times. Volunteers will receive free beer and tacos (if you’re 21 or older of course!), event swag, and a party pass. The party pass also includes a T-shirt, access to the party area, a pint glass normally reserved for race finishers, and plenty of Saint Arnold beverages.
The following volunteer options are available:
- April 2-4:
- Hand out packets to runners at various Greater Houston locations (see registration link for exact locations)
- Saturday, April 5:
- Hand out packets to runners at WSC
- Race Day Duties, Sunday April 6:
- Volunteer check-in at Saint Arnold Brewing Company
- Course monitors (direct runners during run) at ENDVR Active Community
- Water stop on 5K course (set up/take down water tent, pass out water) at ENDVR Active Community
- Finish line team (distribute finisher medals to runners crossing the finishing line) at Saint Arnold Brewery
Register to volunteer! UHD students are eligible for volunteer credits. Stop by the UHD tent at the event for a volunteer receipt and free swag.
