You've decided to pursue your MBA. Now what? If you've searched "MBA programs in Houston" online, you might be a little...overwhelmed. There isn't a shortage of MBA programs and making the right choice for your lifestyle, budget, and career goals can certainly feel daunting. Now, the University of Houston-Downtown's Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)-accredited business school, Marilyn Davies College of Business (MDCOB), offers fully online MBA options. The online MBA format is available for six of the nine MBA concentrations, giving students a wide-range of choices for virtual learning.

What makes the college's MBA program a great choice for the working professional? Whether it's an evening, hybrid, or virtual format, students will have access to the same corporate-driven curriculum led by subject-matter expert faculty and co-led by corporate fellows with industry expertise. In addition, the eight-week session structure is perfect for students interested in advancing their career goals quickly and efficiently.

In addition to the program's online format, MDCOB has made it easier for professionals without business-related degrees to pursue their MBA. Starting Fall 2025, students will be required to take three leveling courses, as opposed to the previous eight courses required in the past. These three courses give students without a background in business a solid foundation for business knowledge and the confidence they need to be successful in the MBA program. Designed and led by the college's full-time faculty, the revised leveling courses significantly reduce the overall cost and time it takes to obtain their MBA.

Now that you are armed with the latest updates, it's time to act. Prospective MBA students can connect with a representative, RSVP for an MBA program information session, or attend the university's Graduate Programs Open House on April 10. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
