UHD alum Farid Virani, CEO of AT&T’s largest Authorized Retailer, Prime Communications, wants soon-to-be and recent Gator graduates to know about Prime’s new GRAD to LEAD program—an exclusive opportunity designed to fast-track careers in the wireless industry.
Applicants accepted into the program will be trained locally for three months and then relocated with a base salary of $60,000, plus a housing allowance, relocation assistance, sales incentives, and a $20,000 bonus upon completion of the two-year program and opportunities for management positions within the company.
Natasha Maniaci, Executive Director of Training and Development for Prime Communications, herself started at the ground level, working her way up to Executive Director. “The GRAD to Lead program is all about setting recent graduates up for success in leadership roles,” said Maniaci. “It gives them hands-on training, mentorship, and networking opportunities, so they’re not just stepping into a job—they’re growing into strong, capable leaders. For Prime, that means a solid leadership pipeline, stronger teams, and a culture of development that fuels growth and innovation.”
Prime’s goal is to create an experience that not only teaches the fundamentals of leadership but also helps participants build confidence, develop problem-solving skills, and understand how to lead teams effectively. “I’m excited to see how this program shapes the next generation of leaders at Prime,” said Maniaci.
She admits that many people don’t see retail as a long-term career, but the reality is very different. “Retail isn’t just a job—it’s a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you can build valuable leadership skills, earn great compensation, and gain hands-on experience with the latest technology,” said Maniaci. “In just two years, those accepted into the program gain the experience as a LEAD Store Manager, putting them on the fast track for even bigger opportunities.”
