This message is sent from the Office of the Provost to all UHD Faculty, Staff, and Students.
Greetings, UHD Community:
You recently received a “Save the Date” – now we have logistical updates for you.
We planted the seeds for our collaboration on the SACSCOC reaffirmation back in March 2024. On October 29, in a one-hour, in-person event, we will build on that foundation and continue our work together.
Specifically, we will HARVEST IDEAS across our university community (students, faculty, and staff) to help shape the path forward in our reaffirmation process and institutional goals.
This event is about centering your insights. We will focus on exploring our WHY—why reaffirmation matters to us, and how we can leverage it to grow as an institution. We’ll identify our bright spots and blind spots, areas where we’re excelling and areas that need attention. Additionally, we will delve into how we can weave our Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), Transferrable Skills for the 21st Century, into the fabric of our curricular and co-curricular operations.
Instead of a traditional format where information is presented to you, we want to hear your ideas. Expect an interactive event. You know where the bright spots are, and you face the challenges firsthand. This is your opportunity to share your recommendations and insights on how we can collectively carve a path forward.
Join us for this harvesting event, where we will gather, share, and build a future that reflects the collective wisdom of our university.
We look forward to seeing you on October 29 at 2:30pm in the Fondren Commons to hear your valuable contributions.
