Dear UHD Community:
As you may have heard at the Gator Expansion Project Town Hall earlier this week, the 5th floor of the library is entering the construction phase. The west side of the library will be the new home of Testing Services and the Academic Support Center.
This renovation begins in December 2024 and will run through roughly July 2025, with the goal of completion by the time classes begin in August 2025. Our contractor partners have indicated that while there is noise and disruption associated with any project like this, they are making every effort to minimize disturbances. The library will remain open for the duration of the project.
We ask that you help us communicate with our students so they are aware of their continued access to the library, as well as potential disruptions. The library has provided a flyer for your use (see attached).
A copy of the presentation from November 5, including images of floor plans, is available on the Gator Expansion Project webpage. The presentation also includes floorplans for the Girard Street building 4th floor of the Welcome Center.
