Dear UHD Staff Community,
Our Volunteer Participation Form for Commencement is now open to staff volunteers*. Volunteers will be assigned to work in one or more designated areas for the entire duration of a ceremony. Volunteers will assist in the following areas: student check-in, student ushering, robing, processional, guest services, program distribution, walk card assistance, marshal assistance, student seating, stage/platform setup, and tear-down/load-out.
*Enrollment Management staff, Commencement Planning Group members, and UHD Leadership are already signed up and do not need to complete this form.
You may volunteer for either ceremony or both ceremonies. Arrival times for the 1pm ceremony will be staggered based on role assignment. Volunteers who work both ceremonies have access to hot food between the ceremonies. Please discuss your desired volunteer commitment with your supervisor prior to volunteering.
To volunteer, please complete the Commencement Staff Volunteer Form by noon on Monday, December 2nd.
All volunteers will receive parking passes. Parking validations will be distributed prior to the ceremony. You will be required to pick up your parking pass on designated dates. Commencement volunteers will receive more information in the coming weeks.
This is an exciting time for our students and their loved ones to celebrate a milestone they will look back on fondly as they depart UHD to embark upon their future endeavors.
