Dear Faculty,

UHD is seeking UHS Board of Regents’ approval to adopt the GTAP (Gator Textbook Access Program) campus-wide, where undergraduate students would pay a single fee for their textbooks.

The plan is for UHD to fully adopt this program in Fall of 2025. Please join us for our first campus-wide informational meeting on Monday, November 11 at 4 pm. This Zoom meeting is an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on the program rollout.

The advantages of this program are:

(1) students will have access to their textbooks on day one of the class;

(2) the payment structure allows students to pay seamlessly with their Financial Aid package; and

(3) The fee is less than half the expected cost of books and course materials (for full-time students).

Note that students may opt out of GTAP at the start of each term; those enrolled in programs with low or no textbook costs would likely opt out, depending on their class schedule.

Please see the GTAP FAQs for more details about the program.

Kind regards,
David Ryden
