We look forward to you joining us for UHD’s 75th Commencement Ceremony. Review the information below to help prepare for the ceremony. 
 
When is the Commencement Ceremony?
UHD’s 75th Commencement Ceremony honoring our undergraduate and graduate students will take place on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the Berry Center located at 8877 Barker Cypress Rd. in Cypress, Texas. 
 
There will be two ceremonies split by academic college, please find your college below to see your ceremony time.
 
Please see below for an outline of the commencement day schedule. 
 
AM Ceremony – 10:30 a.m. 
Marilyn Davies College of Business and College of Public Service
Arrival Time: 8:45am 
Faculty Reception: 8:45am
Latest Arrival Time to partake in faculty procession: 10:00am
Faculty Procession: 10:30am
 
PM Ceremony – 3:30 p.m.
College Humanities and Social Sciences and College of Sciences and Technology
Arrival Time: 1:45pm 
Faculty Reception: 1:45pm
Latest Arrival Time to partake in faculty procession: 3:00pm
Faculty Procession: 3:30pm
 

Where can I pick up my regalia?
The Campus Event Team will facilitate the distribution of regalia for faculty in need. For questions, contact Monica Valencia at valenciam@uhd.edu.

Where do I park?
Complimentary parking will be available at the Berry Center. Faculty and staff will park in Lot C. A parking pass will be provided from the Registrar’s Office. You will be contacted to pick it up.

Can I bring a bag to the ceremony?
The Berry Center enforces a clear bag policy. Guests will not be allowed to enter the Berry Center with a non-conforming bag. All bags and purses may be subject to search upon entrance. Attendees will be asked to return items to their vehicle if it does not meet the guidelines. Please bring your UHD ID.
 
Faculty Entrance
Use the Conference Center East Entrance which will have signage marked for UHD staff and faculty. UHD staff will greet you and direct you to the reception.

What is my role at the Commencement?
Faculty process together in two lines into the arena and take their seats in the faculty designated seating.  You will be led in this procession. Your role is to serve as an attendee.
