What is a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice?

 

Students in the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program will examine an in-depth analysis of the causes of crime, the definition and measurement of crime, and society's formal and informal efforts at preventing and controlling crime. Understanding that criminal justice is an applied science, students are taught to integrate theory, empirical validation, and practical application. This degree program prepares students for a career in criminal justice and public service, and readies students to pursue the study of law and other related graduate programs.
