Scholarships

The Security Management Program maintains a scholarship fund to assist students in meeting the costs of the program. The primary goal of the scholarship is to support persons who have the capability not only to succeed in the MSM graduate program but those who have the potential to succeed in becoming a top Security Management professional. The amount of any scholarship is contingent upon available funds, the number of applicants, and the relative merits of the candidates.

STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for a scholarship, you must have applied to the MSM program and have been formally admitted to the program.

 

CRITERIA

Open to currently enrolled UHD Master of Security Management (MSM) students. Past scholarship recipients have overcome personal and financial hardships in pursuit of their postsecondary credentials. Recipients understand the challenges associated with paying for their tuition costs while balancing family, work, and life responsibilities while simultaneously earning an advanced degree.
To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Completed the FAFSA and have qualified for funds. 
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.00. 
  • Understands the economic challenges in securing funds to cover tuition costs. 
  • Anticipates contributing to the field of security management in an impactful professional manner

 

APPLICATION

Funding for this scholarship application comes from a private source and all funds have been distributed at this time. In the event additional funding is secured in the future, scholarship applications will be accepted at that time.
Scholarship applications can be resubmitted each academic year in the event students are interested in reapplying for the scholarship.
Scholarship funding is not guaranteed on an annual basis.
