Our Mission
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) and the University of Houston-Downtown UHD) faculty, staff, and students engage in inclusive excellence through transformational teaching and learning, impact-driven research and creative endeavors, and professional and workforce development in the arts, humanities, and social sciences to enrich the Greater Houston Area, the Gulf Coast Region, and beyond.
