Center for Latino Studies Objectives

Objectives

1. To promote and nurture scholarship, creative work, and community engagement opportunites for UHD students, faculty, and visiting scholars and artists.
2. To provide research opportunities for Student Scholars in the field of Latino/Hispanic/Latin American Studies.
3. To facilitate educational events that support and are connected to the curriculum in the Latino Studies Track of the B.A. in Humanities.
4. To build a vibrant community of visitors, faculty, students, Student Scholars, and community organizations that supports and collaborates with the Latino/Hispanic/Latin American community in Houston and beyond.
