Sigma Tau Delta

Alpha Kappa Omega, the UHD chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, brings together students with an interest in literature, culture, and intellectual camaraderie.  Students inducted into the English honors society connect with other writers, readers, theorists, and critical thinkers to foster a vibrant culture of literacy on campus.  Inducted members meet regularly to find a place to talk to each other about books, classes, ideas, papers, and research and to collaborate on such group goals as bringing writers from the City of Houston to campus, organizing workshops on how to publish poetry and fiction, offering film screenings, and participating in reading circles, book clubs, and writing groups.
