UHD Off Campus FAQ
| Is UHD accredited? |
| Yes, UHD has regional accreditation from the Southern Association Colleges and Schools. In addition, some UHD programs are accredited by various international, national and special accrediting bodies. |
| Where can I purchase my books? |
| UHD students who need to purchase textbooks may obtain them directly from the UHD Bookstore. A student of this institution is not under any obligation to purchase a textbook from a university affiliated bookstore. The same textbook may also be purchased from an independent retailer, including an online retailer. |
| How can I view courses that are offered at the distance education campus? |
| The UHD Class Schedule is available online through myUHD 2.0. Under "Location" select your desired campus. |
| How do I apply to UHD? |
| Complete the online application for admissions by clicking on the appropriate link below: |
| Is there a UHD Financial Aid office at the off campus instructional sites? |
| There is not a Financial Aid office at any of the off campus instructional sites. However, UHD Financial Aid assistance is available via zoom, or by email from an email address that is on file with the university. FInancial Aid counselors also visit the off campus instructional sites to counsel students during the semester. Please call 713-237-5400 for information. |
| What is a consortium agreement? |
| A Consortium Agreement is a written agreement between two eligible schools. This agreement
allows a student to be co-enrolled at UHD and another institution and receive financial
aid based on the combined enrollment hours at both institutions.
TheHome School is the school where the student is seeking their degree and is the college that will award the financial aid for them. TheHost Schoolis where the student temporarily takes courses that will transfer back to their home school. The courses taken at the host school must be applicable toward the student's degree at UHD. | What are the Northwest hours of operation? |
| The UHD Northwest office is open Monday through Thursday from 8am to 6pm and Friday from 8am to 5pm. |
| Do I need to schedule an appointment at Northwest to meet with an advisor? |
| While no appointment is required, you are highly encouraged to contact an advisor to schedule one. If you're a current UHD student you may schedule an appointment through Navigate. You may find instructions on scheduling an appointment here. If you're a prospective student you may email us UHDNW@uhd.edu to schedule an appointment. |
| Is a parking permit required at the UHD Northwest? |
| No, a parking permit is not required for UHD Northwest. You may park in either Garage 10 or 11. |
| What degrees programs are offered at UHD Northwest? |
