TK20™ - Urban Education

Urban Education Students, Mentors, and Faculty can can use this page to view detailed how-to's on submitting e-portfolios, time logs, field binders, and generating reports. Please select on your respective roles to view instructions:

 

E-portfolio

  • Log into TK20
  • Click Portfolios
  • Click on the Portfolio you want to review
  • Recalling your Portfolio
  • Log into TK20
  • Click Portfolios
  • Click on the box next to the portfolio you wish the recall
  • Click Recall above the list of your portfolios
  • The status of your portfolio will now state Open for Editing
  •  
  •  Sharing your Portfolio
  • Log into TK20
  • Click Portfolios
  • Open the portfolio you want to share by clicking on the portfolio name
  • Click Share in the top right corner
  • Enter the email address(es) of the recipients.  You can also enter your e-mail address
  • Make sure Share Tabs are selected.
  • You can modify the Subject line or Message if you would like to.
  • Enter a URL Expiration Date at least three years out.
  • Click Share at the bottom of the form.
  • Submitting your Portfolio
  • Log into TK20
  • Click Portfolios
  • Open the portfolio you want to submit by clicking on the portfolio name
  • Click Submit after all items in the portfolio have been completed or attached.

 

Field Binder

 

 

Once you are inside a field binder you will see tabs going across the top.  Under each tab, there may be multiple Select buttons.  Each Select button will open a separate form to complete.

 

  • Click Save and Close when you are finished with each form
  • The red flag will disappear when the form is completed
 Each field placement will have their own binder that will need to be completed.

 

 

  • Submitting your Field Binder
  • When you are finished with your Field Binder, click submit.
  • If you accidently click submit and then want to add additional artifacts to your binder, e-mail – tk20cpshelp@uhd.edu to let them know and your binder will be unlocked.

 

Time Logs

 

  • Creating a Time Log
  • Log into TK20
  • Click Home
  • Click Time Logs
  • Click Create New Activity
  • Select the Time Log you want to complete – FE 1, FE 2, or UE Student Teaching 1
  • If you do not see the time log you need to complete listed, contact Richard Simonds at simondsr@uhd.edu.
  • Select the activity you have completed
  • The reviewer e-mail is the person who will receive your time logs to approve you time. 
  • Select the date and time of the activity
  • This date cannot be in the future.
  • For Student Teaching time logs there is a question to answer for each time entry

  • Click Create
  • Submitting a Time Log for Approval
  • Log into TK20
  • Click Home
  • Click Time Log
  • Check the boxes you want to send for approval.
  • Click Submit for Approval
  • Click Submit on the next page to send your time logs to approval.

 

Time Logs

 

  • Time Logs – Approving Students Time
  • When a student submits time you will receive an e-mail from the College of Public Service that will contain a link.  This link will allow you to review and approve the students time. 

 

Field Binder

  • Completing a Field Binder
  • Log into TK20
  • Click Field Experience
  • Click on your students name
  • When the field binder opens the forms for you to complete are on the right hand side of the screen.
  • You will be able to see the information the student completes on the left hand side of the screen
  • Select each form by clicking on the field form name
  • When you are finished, click Save and Close
  • The red flag will disappear when the form is completed

 

Field Binder

 

  • Completing a Field Binder
  • Log into TK20
  • Click Field Experience
  • Click on your students name
  • When the field binder opens the forms for you to complete are on the right hand side of the screen.
  • You will be able to see the information the student completes on the left hand side of the screen
  • Select each form by clicking on the field form name
  • When you are finished, click Save and Close
  • The red flag will disappear when the form is completed

Reports

 

  • Time Logs Report – To be able to see how many hours your students
  • Log into TK20
  • Click Reports
  • Click Time Log 001: Student Time Log Completion and Approval Status Report
  • Template Active Status – Select All
  • Programs – Select All
  • Majors – Select All
  • Select the correct time log template for your students
  • Select the dates for the semester.
  • (From) – Start of the semester
  • (To) – Current Date / End of the semester
  • Select the correct User Group for your students and semester
  • Name_Year­_Semester
  • Click Generate
  • Click Data Display
  • You can view your students from this screen or export the information into Excel by clicking the export button
