Former/Returning Students: Your Next Steps
Welcome back! We are excited to have you back on campus. Following these next steps will help ensure a successful return to UHD.
Step 1 | Meet with Your Advisor |
Schedule an advising session to review course pre-requisites and discuss your degree plan. You can view your assigned Advising Center and advisor in your myUHD account. Follow the steps below to access the information:

Step 2 | Register for Classes |
View the course schedule online and register for classes through your myUHD account. | |
Step 3 | Explore Scholarships and Financial Aid |
UHD offers a variety of financial aid programs to help you cover the cost of your education. From scholarships and grants to work-study, and loans, there are options to meet your financial needs. The priority deadline for Financial Aid is April 1st of each year. UHD’s school code for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application is 003612. | |
Step 4 | Explore UHD Payment Options |
Installment payment plans, deferment plans, and other payment options are available to help cover the cost of your tuition and fees. |

Step 5 | Purchase your Parking Permit |
Familiarize yourself with student parking options, and purchase your parking permit online through your myUHD account. |

Step 6 | Send your final transcript(s) for classes in progress to UHD |
If you are currently taking classes, your official transcript must be submitted to UHD. Faxes and scanned copies are not accepted. Transcripts can be mailed to the Office of Admissions, One Main Street, GSB 308, Houston, TX 77002. If sending your official transcripts by a 3rd party service such as eSCRIP-SAFE, JST, National Student Clearinghouse, Parchment/DocuFide, ADDS/AVOW, etc. please use the UHDETranscripts@uhd.edu email address. |

Step 7 | Participate in Welcome Week Activities |
Welcome Week is a tradition that welcomes new and current students each fall and spring semester to the campus during the first week of classes. It gives you the opportunity to connect with other students while experiencing a schedule of fun and student-centered activities.
