UHD GATOR RING
The UHD Gator Ring stands as a profound symbol of the University of Houston - Downtown

this ring is a source of pride, carrying forward the legacy of our academic voyage

GATOR RING WEEK
Ring Week provides a unique opportunity to engage with Herff Jones representatives,
allowing you to get your ring sized and explore the wide variety of options available.
Join us during Gator Ring Week, scheduled for Tuesday, January 23rd (11 a.m.-3 p.m.)at the MDCOB Bldg. and on Monday, January 27th
(11 a.m.-3 p.m.) at the One Main Bldg.
RING CEREMONY
UHD's Spring 2025 Ring Ceremony will be on May 10th, 2025 starting at 10:00 AM at
the Wellness & Success Center. Eligible students or Alumni who have pre-ordered a
class ring are invited to participate. To inquire about your ring order, please contact
Herff Jones at gradsw@herffjones.com, including "University of Houston-Downtown" and
your name in the email, or reach out by phone at 1-800-837-4235. For questions about
the Ring Ceremony and registration please email the Office of Alumni Relations at
alumni@uhd.edu
CLASS RING FAQ
Students are encouraged to order their UHD Class Rings as soon as they become eligible.
Students are not obligated to order during Ring Week. However, UHD encourages participation,
as Herff Jones representatives can address inquiries about the ring and help in figuring
out the proper sizing. This period is ideal for students interested in taking part
in the UHD Ring Ceremony.
Herff Jones is the official licensed vendor for UHD Class Rings. Other vendors do
not carry the official UHD Class Ring.
The Ring Ceremony Order Deadline is Thursday, February 13th, 2025. Students are recommended
to place orders during Ring Week with Herff Jones in person or online to ensure prompt
delivery for the UHD Ring Ceremony.
Typically, rings take 6-8 weeks (about 2 months) to be produced. Most students order
at the beginning of each semester to take part in the Ring Ceremony. Each ring is
custom-made to order.
In the event your ring does not fit upon receipt, Herff Jones will work with you to
ensure your UHD Class Ring fits perfectly.
The UHD Ring Ceremony is an integral part of the UHD Ring Tradition. It provides an
opportunity for you to display your UHD pride with family and friends. While encouraged,
participation is not mandatory, as all rings will automatically be included in the
Ring Ceremony.
The UHD Ring Ceremony occurs each semester in May and December. Specific dates are
announced on the UHD Class Ring website.
Invitations for the UHD Ring Ceremony are sent via email to students who recently
bought their Class Ring. Seating is limited due to venue capacity, and ring recipients
who order by the deadline will receive an email with instructions on how to register
themselves and up to five guests for the ceremony.
If unable to attend the UHD Ring Ceremony, you may pick up your ring the following
week at the Office of the Dean of Students.
