Kimberley is the current Director of the Project Management Office with over 20 years of experience in managing small to large projects. She joined the University of Houston-Downtown in September 2016. Her career has provided numerous opportunities to use a wide variety of project and process management approaches and methodologies.

Tai has been at the University of Houston-Downtown since 2004. She started as a student worker in the Upward Bound Department and then joined the IT Department in December 2015. With over eight years of project management experience, Tai strives to provide exceptional support and customer service from project initiation to completion to accomplish the university’s goals and mission. Shamair started her journey with the University of Houston-Downtown in February of 2020 with the PMO team, with over seven years of project management experience in IT. Her professional career has led her to work both on the technical and policy & procedures side of IT. Shamair aims to use her skills and knowledge to provide the best support for her team throughout the lifecycle of each project.

Megan has been part of the IT department at University of Houston-Downtown for 15 years. She provides a technical expertise to the projects that she manages. Along with managing projects such as the PC replacement project for the entire campus (computing labs and faculty & staff computers), she also provides recommendations for software, computers/laptops and mobile device purchases.

Shahina began her academic journey at the University of Houston, earning her bachelor's and master's degrees. With three years of experience as an IT Project Analyst at an esteemed Industrial Info Resources company, she honed her skills before returning to the university to obtain her master's degree. Shahina's academic journey culminated in her current IT Project Manager and Business Analyst role. This position allows her to leverage her expertise in project management and business analysis. Her bachelor's degree in computer science and master's degree in project management technology, conferred by the University of Houston, have equipped her with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in this role. Her focus on effective communication and alignment with stakeholder expectations has been instrumental in ensuring project outcomes align with organizational objectives. Her proven track record in this area is a testament to her leadership skills and ability to deliver results. Beyond her professional endeavors, Shahina remains committed to continuous learning and stays abreast of industry trends to enhance her skill set further.

Nancy has over 10 years of experience as a Project Coordinator and 21 years of Customer Service in the Oil and Gas Industry, before joining the IT PMO in 2021. In collaboration with the Project Managers, Nancy works hard to keep projects meticulously on schedule and within budget and scope. She thrives as a Project Coordinator and her primary goal is to get the best out of both people and projects; it’s what she does best.

Justine began her journey with the University of Houston-Downtown Project Management and Operations office in 2022. She is pursuing her Bachelor of Business Administration with a Minor in Management. She brings with her over 3 years of administrative experience and works closely with students to ensure coverage of the front office areas. She manages inventory and works with various vendors to ensure supplies are in-stock and available for use. To ensure successful operations of the office, she maintains the department’s front office processes manual and works with directors across the IT department for various tasks. When project managers need assistance with projects, she is happy help in anyway needed for the successful completion of the project.

Fatima is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in Computer Science with minors in Mathematics and Data Science. She has a strong foundation in software development and robotics, with experience in technologies such as Python, C++ and Java. Fatima collaborates with IT project managers, applying project management guidelines to maintain and track project progress efficiently. She is passionate about combining her technical expertise with innovative problem-solving to develop solutions in areas like AI, robotics, and simulation systems. Fatima is eager to apply her skills and interdisciplinary knowledge to advance technology-driven projects in her future career.
